This book is the record of a unique journey through the fascinating north where author Jessy Van Durme and photographer Piet Goethals combined their interests and strengths. They visited workshops, houses and apartments and made personal portraits of 18 contemporary designers who deserve move away from the shadow of the modernists. Jessy Van Durme is an interior architect and furniture designer who likes to be inspired by the contemporary Scandinavian aesthetic. Piet Goethals specialized in music and travel photography. He travelled the last 15 years regularly through Scandinavia and made portraits and landscapes.
