Artek A330S "Golden Bell" pendant The A330s pendant lamp, also known as Golden Bell, was originally designed for the famous Savoy Restaurant in 1939. This elegant little lamp combines the typical streamlined design of Alvar Aalto and the characteristic diffuse light.
Designing lamps had a central role in the work of Alvar Aalto. For him, lighting and lamps played an important role in architecture. Lamps were part of the whole that Aalto wanted to control to the smallest detail. Many of the lamps designed by Aalto were originally made for the design of a particular building project.
